First interior. This is a test WIP (which would explain why the image res is pretty small)...I will have a better render when I have time later in several months.
I noticed that people pointed out the weirdness going on with the wood floor being too shiny, I am also going to do that because I am awesome. Hahaha naww yeah it really does seem a little too shiny, making it seem plasticy. It looks like a wood floor and has like physical... I guess topographical texture there, but it is lacking in the actual coloration differences in what I feel like a lot of wood floors have. All around too, I feel like a lot of the objects are a bit too shiny after looking at the ref photo, though a lot of the different lighting effects and situations in that photo are going to be hard to mimic. The back shelf seems to be lacking some shadows, making it seem awkward and stick out; it almost has an unrealistic look compared to the other objects. I would also like to say that I would like to see some more differentiation in the types, labels and colors on the bottles. I would like to see more textures in the objects too, like I don't know if the counter is marble on that bar but it would be neat to see a marble texture on it. There are also some strange things going on with the transparent objects, I suppose do some tweaking on those, I'm not quite sure what to say to aid that situation. hahaha~
Nice Job MEEEGAN, I cannot wait to see your updated version, I am quite impressed with this version. :3
This is a great job for a render. Upon first looking at it, I did not realize that it wasn't a photograph. The reflections on the glass and on the shiny surface of the floor are superb. I also really like how you placed everything in the frame. It looks very natural. My only comments would be to perhaps try to increase the opacity of the glass surrounding the hanging lights as their translucency doesn't seem to be that realistic. Also, perhaps consider diversifying the stock of bottles on the shelves. I'd imagine that a bar like this would have a few different sorts of bottles of brew. I also would like to see the shadows they cast to be brought out a bit more in order to enhance the three dimensionality of the shelves.
Lightshades? You mean the light fixtures on the ceiling? I have the refraction set to the normal refraction of glass, should I change it? I am definitely going to change the frosted glass portion of the light to be more opaque (less noise) in my future render. Thanks for the comment! If you have any more tips, please let me know.
